Facts for 2024:

1. Final record: 10-4-0 (including 0-1 in the playoffs).
2. What’s with the rain?! We had an unprecedented 4 games cancelled this season. We only had 1 game cancelled up to this season since joining this league. Ridiculous.
3. Speaking of “since joining this league”, we ended up in 3^rd place for the 4^th time in a row. We’re certainly competitive but let’s save a bit of that for the elimination game next year.
4. The league actually listened and changed the ball. Still not as good as the previous years, but much better than that damn K-Master Ball.
5. And the result? Homeruns. We hit 28 home runs this year compared to 13 home runs last year. That’s a 115% increase!
6. What else increased? Our runs for average increased over last year (15.8 vs 13.6).  That’s a 16% increase in run production.
7. Conversely, our runs against average dipped slightly by 7% over last year (10.3 vs 9.6). That still counts as our second-best defensive year since 2010 and that’s something to be proud of.
8. Unfortunately, we weren’t so great in the strikeout category. We recorded a whopping 18 Ks this season, spread out over ten guys (Ilan, Bobby, and Marc were the only guys who didn’t strike out). And 13 of those strikeouts were against John! Geez, that guy can pitch.
9. Injuries. They’re inevitable. We pull hamstrings; we tear muscles. We’re getting old. Let’s try to stay limber this off-season.
10. Speaking of injuries, we had a major one although he did it off the field this time. Marc, I think I speak for everyone when I say it wasn’t the same without you. Really looking forward to having you back next season.
11. Congrats to Adam and Cary, who had an increase in their BA of 42% and 79%, respectively.
12. And congrats to Bobby, who has increased his Ironman streak to 72 consecutive games since 2019.
