2019 Season

Here are the facts for 2019:

1. Final record: 8-10-1 (including 1-2 in the playoffs).
2. This year was the first time we didn’t allow a team to score on us beating them 19-0.
3. Our runs for average improved over last year (16.3 vs 15.4) and is the same as the last time we were in ‘D’ Division in 2014.
4. Our runs against average has come down slightly from last year (18.1 vs 19.2) and is nowhere near what it was in 2014 (12.9).  I guess it’s getting a bit tougher to bend down.
5. Morgan played 6 games with a 0.435 BA, 1 HR, 4 K, and 8 RBI.  Marv played 9 games with a 0.576 BA, 3 HR, 1 K, and 15 RBI.  He shall now forever be known as Marv.
6. Kurtz showed up and hit 4 HR in a single game.  We need that foot fixed fast!
7. Ryan threw a missile from the cut-off position in left field to get the runner out at home.  What an arm!
8. Marc broke his brain and missed a month.  He still played 3^rd in our last game.  Tough or crazy?  You decide.
9. Fabian got a guy ejected in our first playoff game.  Remind me not to push Fabian.
10. Congrats to Marc, Kevin, and Joel for increasing their BA by more than 40% over last year.  That’s pretty damn impressive.
11. Cary and Sheldon threw 28 strikeouts combined in 19 games.  That’s roughly equivalent to 1.5 games of outs.  I’m just saying.
