Facts for 2025:

1. Final record: 6-8-2 (including 0-1 in the playoffs).
2. Well, we only had 2 games cancelled this season due to rain. I guess that’s better?
3. After finishing 3^rd four years in a row, we fell to 4^th place this year. It was definitely an uneven year (more on that soon).
4. Our season felt like a classic “tale of two halves.” We started out a bit rusty in May and June (maybe the bats were still in hibernation), but something clicked in August.
5. And the result? The first 10 regular season games: 2 Wins, 6 Losses, 2 Ties; the final 5 regular season games: 4 Wins, 1 Loss.
6. And the last 3 games? We ended the regular season with a 3-game winning streak, outscoring our opponents 67–18. That’s amazing. Let’s definitely keep that momentum going into the next season.
7. As for the playoff game? Heartbreaking. After coming back and having the 7^th inning end tied 13-13, the game was called for time and reverted back to the 6^th inning, where we ended up losing 11-7. You don’t have to say it, I know.
8. Oh yeah, our home runs dropped to 18 from 28 the year before.
9. And our runs for average dropped 36% (10.1 vs. 15.8). Related? Hmmm.
10. However, our runs against average increased slightly by 7% over last year (9.6 vs 10.3). That brings us back in line with our 2023 season and ties our second-best defensive year since 2010.
11. Unfortunately, we weren’t so great in the strikeout category again. We recorded a whopping 24 Ks this season, spread out over nine guys (Ilan, Kevin, Joel, and Marc were the only guys who didn’t strike out). And yes, I accounted for 1/3 of them. And yes, I have bought a lot of beer.
12. Congrats to Kevin, Fabian, and Bobby, who each increased their BA by 5%, 18%, and 23%, respectively.
13. And lastly, Bobby’s ironman streak ended at an incredible 76 consecutive games since 2019. Respect.
